Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland recently announced an exciting new development.  In partnership with Salud Education, LLC, Morgan State hopes to add a College of Osteopathic Medicine to the campus.  This move would be the first and only school in the Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia and Northern Virginia area to offer a doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine.  If the Board of Regents and Morgan State University President Dr. David A. Wilson approve of the agreement made with Salud Education, LLC, the University anticipates that the medical school will be fully operational by 2023.

As an Osteopathic Medicine Specialist, Dr. Sam Fillingane, DO is optimistic about this news.  This development will entail major advancements for Morgan State University.  Additionally, it will also expand opportunities for aspiring medical professionals pursuing an education on the east coast.  Dr. Fillingane looks forward to Morgan State’s final decision on the matter.
