Here is a list of some of the different types of autoimmune disorders:
- Susac’s syndrome
A condition marked by personality changes, confusion, headaches and hearing problems.
- Type 1 diabetes
- Ulcerative colitis
- Lambert-Eaton syndrome
Marked by weak connection between the nerves and muscles.
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Immune thrombocytopenic purpura
A bleeding disorder which consists of an individual’s immune system destroying the platelets necessary for healthy, normal blood clotting.
- Multiple sclerosis
A nervous system disease where the individual’s immune system attacks the brain and spinal cord.
